- •Activity data: who you swipe on, your matches, and the messages you send in chats.
- •Verification data: whether you verified your email or signed in with Google/Apple.
How we use your information
- •To build and display your roommate profile so others can find and swipe on you.
- •To match you with compatible roommates based on location, budget, and preferences.
- •To enable real-time chat with your matches and send you match and message notifications.
- •To verify your identity and show a verified badge that builds trust.
Who can see your information
- •Your profile (name, photo, city, budget, preferences, bio) is visible to other Roomie users for matching.
- •Your messages are visible only to you and the person you matched with.
- •Your email and password are never shared with other users.
- •We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data retention
- •We keep your profile and activity data for as long as your account is active.
- •When you delete your account, your profile, swipes, matches, and messages are permanently removed, usually within 30 days.
Your rights
- •You can edit your profile information at any time from the Profile tab.
- •You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile tab.
- •You may contact us to request a copy of your data or ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Security
- •We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
- •Never share sensitive financial or identity details in your public profile or chats.
Children's privacy
- •Roomie is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
